Kate Reilly

Kate Reilly strapped in to a go-kart for the first time at the age of six. By eight, she was competing full-time in regional events. At 12 she went national, and was national points champion for her age group at 14, 16, and 17. She graduated to sports cars at 18, and for the next four years competed in regional races while picking up rides in Grand-Am Cup (BMW), Porsche Cup, and Star Mazda. In 2004 and 2005, she participated in the full Star Mazda season with Johnson Racing, earning five podiums and three wins on her way to a fourth place season finish the first year, and seven podiums and three wins as the runner-up to the year-end champion in her second season.

Tammy Kaehler

Before realizing she could write fiction, Tammy Kaehler spent six years as a freelance business, marketing, and magazine writer. She caught racing fever when one of her clients became a series sponsor and she helped out with hospitality duties. Then she started volunteering for the series and got to know team owners, crew, and drivers. Her favorite activities are strapping guests in for "hot laps" around the track in a pace car and taking them into the pits during a race for all the sights, sounds, and smells of the series in action.

Tammy is a graduate of Pomona College where she majored in Linguistics and Anthropology. When not traveling to races, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their many cars.
